Capita Snowboards has been around since 2000. Started by snowboarders for snowboarders to keep what they believed the core values of snowboarding are alive and kicking. And they did it well! and continue to do so to this day. After years of pushing the boundaries of the snowboarding industry in every way from attitude to the graphics on their snowboards. Now they are pushing the boundaries in snowboard manufacturing with the opening of their new and extremely advanced factory the Mothership in 2015.
The Mothership is a %100 hydro-powered facility all the heating supply for production and climate control is created by an NH3 natural gas heating system. Drawing all its power from the river Gail located right beside the mothership. The water gets borrowed from the river Gail put through micro-filtration and into the NH3 natural gas heating system creating the energy required for the mothership and is the pumped back into the river without any harmful exposure and is cleaner than when it went in. This system has ZERO C02 emissions, ZERO global warming potential and ZERO ozone depletion potential.
